In class I watched some past students thrillers. I found that the films with speech in were less effective than ones without because if the character could not act it took away from the seriousness and the suspense.
I also found that the films with hoodies and people 'following' characters were not as good as they seemed to make it drag opposed to the ones that had things going on all the time.
